Este documento es un resumen de las diferentes actividades desempeñadas por el Ministerio de Salud entre las mas importantes es la mortalidad infantil que disminuyó de un 60 por mil a 38 por mil a diciembre de 1991, se hace mención a la planificación familiar, la cobertura de vacunación llegó en promedio al 70 %, la poliomielitis esta en proceso de erradicación, la cobertura de atención ha subido a un 50 a 60 %, la salud fundamental está dirigida a los niños y madres desnutridas.
